Clabberin Hitler at Cumber Claudy PS
The Key Stage 2 pupils staged the play ‘A Lemonade Bottle for Clabberin’ Hitler’ from March 4 to 6 each afternoon and evening.
One of six plays in the ‘Pat & Plain’ project by Dan Gordon, pupils from P5 to P7 stepped back in time to WW2 and the Belfast Blitz.

Hide AdThe shows coincided with their curriculum work and even the youngest children in Foundation Stage looked at aspects of life in the past and even dressed up and played games from the olden days.
The whole school got a real sense of what life was like in war times and all of the research inspired the KS2 pupils to embrace the drama and show real stage presence.
School Principal, Maureen Smyth, said: “The drive, the enthusiasm and the ability to produce a primary school performance to such a high standard rest largely with a very talented lady who shirks the limelight at every opportunity.”
