The pupils from Mrs McIlroy’s Class A, who traditionally are the first act on stage, entertained everyone with this school’s first ever production of Chr _ _ _ mas Spells isaster.

This was then followed by the pupils from Primary 1 (Mrs McKay) & Primary 2 (Miss McNicholl) who told everyone about the Christmas message through their Wriggly Nativity production.

Class B, under Mrs McNally’s guidance, entertained everyone with their original performance of Despicable Christmas which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience and the school’s assembly hall was filled with laughter.

Part Two of the show opened with Miss Cushenan’s P3 classes and Mrs Hickey’s and Mrs Kelly’s P4 classes, who entertained everyone with their Hoodwinked show.

Primary5 (Mrs McMullan), Primary 6 (Mrs Burke) & Primary 7 (Mrs Campbell) then concluded the show with their own production of Generation Jingles.

Mr Conlon (Principal) thanked all of the school staff for their work in preparing the children for the Christmas concert, ‘It is a great privilege to work in a primary school at this time of year. The children love Christmas and we love it too! This has been our busiest every term, which began with our very successful inspection report in September and now finishes, in December, with this wonderful show. The inspectors told us we had wonderful children in this school and the whole school community saw that today. Well done to every child in the school, we are proud of you all.’

December is always a busy month and the school’s PTA have contributed to the festivities with a wonderful Christmas Bazaar, while the younger children in the school were treated to a visit and a present from Santa himself. A carol service in the school concluded the Advent preparations.
