Child fractures treated for breaks
SURGEONS in the Western Trust treated over 4000 new child outpatients for fractures, breaks and trauma over the past three years.
The Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon in WHSCT reported 1,398 new outpatient attendances in 2010/11, 1,436 in 2009/10, and 1,274 in 2008/9.
The new Health Minister Edwin Poots revealed the information in response to an Assembly Question tabled by Foyle SDLP MLA Pat Ramsey.
