Carrickfergus students address UN anniversary event

Carrickfergus College was represented at a celebration to mark the 70th anniversary of the United Nations Charter.

Year 13 Pupils Matthew Braiden and Joel Hannah spoke about their involvement in international activities at the event organised by Mid and East Antrim Council.

Both Matthew and Joel are studying for the KA2 exam in Mandarin with the school’s Chinese teacher Miss Chen. They are both also involved in the Erasmus Plus project ‘Europe in Love’ and are hoping to visit some of Carrickfergus College’s partner schools in Europe next year.
