Campbell hails Invest NI visit

The visit follows Mr Campbell hosting the new Chief Executive of Invest NI to stress the need to attract inward investors beyond the Greater Belfast area to the north coast and north west.

Mr Campbell said: Following that meeting the first visit by INI’s representatives took place in 2011, last week they arrived back and received a series of presentations which demonstrated the significant advantages which exist in the area.

“The IT sector with the Project Kelvin Trans Atlantic interconnection provides a powerful;tool in placing this region at the forefront of potential investors minds in a number of sectors.

The visit was a small but significant step in the right direction, what is needed now is to harness the advantages, the goodwill, and the need for economic revitalisation and get the potential investors here.”
