Busy time for the Ballynure WI ladies

In December, members of Ballynure WI visited Theatre at the Mill, and an enjoyable time was had by everyone in attendance.

The competition for Christmas earrings was won by Isobel Bingham and second was Linda Dodds.

The magazine prize was won by Margaret Gault.

President Geraldine Wylie welcomed members to the January meeting, including Sharon and Eleanor who told of how they had created ‘Second Bloom’ making handbags from recycled materials.

They had a display of unusual bags and gave a very interesting history of bags through the ages up to the fashion statements they now are. The competition for a key ring was won by Roberta Stitt, second Emma Ferris and third Dora Manning. The magazine prize at the community-based organisation event was won by Irene Steele.
