Ballymoney Borough Council and Acorn the Business Centre have launched a programme of practical workshops for small businesses in the Ballymoney area.
Launching the programme, Chair of the Development Committee, Cllr John Finlay commented, “This series of workshops for Ballymoney businesses has been developed in response to requests from traders and small businesses. The Council, alongside Acorn the Business Centre, has designed this programme with the emphasis on practical guidance and advice for our local traders and other small businesses.”
The first workshop, in the series of six workshops over 6 weeks, was on business planning and was held on 18th February. A variety of local businesses attended the session and found ‘the real life practical examples, sharing of ideas, and interaction’ particularly useful and enjoyable.
The five remaining workshops will provide advice and guidance on effective marketing, social media, merchandising, sourcing finance & managing cashflow and crime prevention for businesses. Each of the workshops is standalone and businesses can choose as many as they wish to attend. The final workshop will take place on Wednesday, 25th March.
