Bunny Walk this Saturday!

The Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF) is holding a 'Think Pink Bunny Walk' in Coleraine on Saturday 16th October to raise funds to help local women and their families who have been affected by breast cancer.

Breast Cancer is now the most common form of cancer in women in Northern Ireland with over 1,000 women diagnosed with the disease each year but survival rates are steadily improving. Today, there are around 10,000 women with a diagnosis of breast cancer living in Northern Ireland.

It's only 10 for adults and 1 for children to register in the 'Think Pink! Bunny Walk' which includes complimentary free flashing bunny ears and a generous goody bag kindly sponsored by Lidl Northern Ireland. Supporters who take part are encouraged to wear pink. Registration takes place at the Railway Arms car park from 7pm with the walk beginning at 8pm from Railway Place Car Park. You can 'hop' (or walk!) around the 2 mile route and at the end enjoy a buffet supper in the Railway Arms.

Sylvia Lucy from UCF said, "We are hopping with excitement at holding UCF's 'Think Pink! Bunny Walk' in Coleraine. The money raised from the walk will be used to help provide care and support services for local women and their families who have been affected by breast cancer. The 2 mile street-lit walk will be marshalled throughout and we hope that this special fundraising event catches the imagination of the community who can enjoy the walk while raising vital funds for UCF."

Sponsor forms are available from the Railway Arms, Coleraine (10 registration required when requesting sponsor forms).
