A local man has been recognised by TinyLife for his incredible fundraising efforts for the premature baby charity.
Moyle District Council employee Chris McAuley, and his wife Louise, were presented with an award by the charity’s Chief Executive Alison McNulty at a black tie dinner dance in the Marine Hotel in Ballycastle to raise funds for TinyLife.
Chris and Louise have raised over £16,000 for TinyLife in the past few years through a range of fundraising events and challenges in Ballycastle and beyond.
The Ball, which took place on Saturday 1st February, was a huge success raising over £6,000 for the Marine Hotel’s chosen charity partner, TinyLife.
Guests on the night included Ian Paisley Jnr, DUP MP for North Antrim and Daithi McKay, Education spokesperson for Sinn Fein and the deputy chair of the Enterprise, Trade and Investment Committee in the Northern Ireland Assembly.
Chair of Moyle District Council, Cllr Cara McShane also attended the event.
As well as funding life saving medical research over the last 25 years, TinyLife, formerly NIMBA, provides emotional and practical support to the families of premature and sick babies across Northern Ireland.
“It’s only thanks to the fantastic support received from local people and local businesses over the years that these services can continue today,” said a spokesperson for TinyLife.
