On Thursday, February 23, the Railway Arms hosted a pub quiz to raise funds for Bee Heard, a local mental health charity.

This was a great night that had 10 teams competing against each other. There was also a raffle that had many prizes available.

A total of £252 was raised on the night, which will go towards supporting the activities of Bee Heard.

Bee Heard would like to thank the Railway Arms for running the event, in addition to the businesses that kindly donated prizes, which were Whoosh, Mandarin Palace and Waterstones.

Bee Heard provides a free drop in service for people to talk to someone that has personal experience of mental illness.

They also run Bee Creative, an art group that helps people to express themselves in a safe environment.

Bee Heard is open 11am to 4pm on Tuesday to Thursday and is located at 22a New Row, Coleraine. No referral or appointment is necessary for our services.

Please check out the Bee Heard Facebook page to keep up to date with the charity’s upcoming events or email or call 028 7034 3886 for more info.
