THIS year’s Ballymoney Black Santa sit-out begins on Monday, December 17th.
This is now the fifth year of the fantastic fundraising effort by Liam Beckett and the sit-out will continue until Christmas Eve, Decemver 24th.
This year sees the addition of two more charities to benefit from the fundraiser - Samaritans and Cheers Youth Club.
They will join the other three benficiaries which are Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul Society and the Drop In Ministries.
Liam told the Times; “I am fully aware that times are still very tough financially for most families but all donations would be most gratefully received.
“This is our fifth year and the total has always increased each year so I really hope this trend continues this year also - particularly with two more charities added to the list.
“Any office collections or factory shop whip-rounds would be very much appreciated. Many thanks to everyone who can contribute,” concluded Liam.
