An afternoon of tea and fashion for Habitat

Portadown firm Thompson Travel International are holding an afternoon of tea, coffee, scones, sandwiches and pastries at Brownlow House in Lurgan on Friday, August 8.

There will be a beauty and fashion demonstration by Boots Chemist, Sitara Morgan and Ambiance are showcasing the must have colours for this autumn and there will be short presentation by a local pharmacist.

The event will raise funds for Habitat for Humanity NI.

The Northern Ireland travel sector have joined forces with Habitat NI to help raise the walls and roofs on a many homes as they can for families living in poverty housing around the world. In September, a team of 15 travel agents from across the province will swap their business suits for builder’s boots to spend one week building a home for a family in Beius, Romania.

Sharon Fleming, director of Thompson Travel who is part of the team said, “We are really excited to be partnering with Habitat this year and look forward to working alongside families and their community to help build a home in just five days. It will be a lot of hard work but I can’t wait to roll my sleeves up and get stuck in.”
