With Glebe Rangers Football Club celebrating 25th years since the club’s formation, they are hosting a special family fun day later this month.

The organisers appealing to all past and current players, managers, coaches, committee members, fans and sponsors to come along with their family and friends to join the club on Saturday 26th April at the Riada Stadium, Ballymoney for a family fun day from 2pm – 5pm.

The main entertainment of the day will be several exhibition matches comprising players, managers and their coaching staff from the days gone by until present day.

This is an event not to be missed with the banter already having started with ‘Old Boys’ claiming that their footballing brains will be too much for the youth of modern day football.

As well as the football, there will be additional entertainment for the children with bouncy castles, face painting and the appearance of several famous cartoon characters, plus much more.

There will also be a special gift for all primary school kids who attend the event to remind them of this key milestone in the clubs history with a commemorative crest having been commissioned specially for the occasion.

Following the family fun day, celebrations will move to the Manor Hotel at 6pm.

A hot buffet will be served for everyone to enjoy while browsing numerous scrapbooks and viewing a specially prepared slideshow showcasing the proud 25 years since the club’s formation in 1989.

This special day for the club will then be rounded off with live musical entertainment until the early hours.

Club Spokesman John McAuley added that the club have been working hard behind the scenes organising this event.

He urged everyone with a connection to the club to join in the fun.

With no admission fee or charge for any of the entertainment, this is a great opportunity to celebrate this special time in the clubs history.

To help with organisation, Glebe Rangers Football Club would like to hear in advance from past players and managers who would like to take part in the exhibition matches.
