McAFEE Auctions sale of fine furnishings opens for viewing tomorrow in their Ballymoney sale rooms with approximately 550 lots on offer of furniture, smaller furnishings, lots of collectibles, clocks, a good selection of Irish art, solid silver, and a very fine private collection of jewellery.

This sale which takes place on this Friday the 28th of September includes a very good two door mahogany linen press, a really good quality three door wardrobe, a tall chest of mahogany drawers, a choice of double ended and single ended settees, a really special oak farmhouse table and eight chair set, two good settees, pair of wing backed armchairs and two leather armchairs, a large rectangular wool rug, a double pedestal writing desk, a very fine shaped front inlaid credenza, two shaped front open bookcases etc.

Smaller furnishings include two revolving bookcases, turn over leaf card table, brass bound cellarette, teapoy, cylinder top writing bureau, inlaid sofa table, plantstands, firescreens, mahogany chests, work and other occasional tables, inlaid, upholstered and other occasional chairs, inlaid mahogany and other centre, side, sutherland, nest and other occasional tables, hardwood carved chair, mirrors, pairs of bedside cabinets, display cabinet, gilted mirror and console table etc.

Collectibles include pieces of Royal Worcester, Royal dux, clarice cliff, ivory, belleek, doulton and hummel figurines, crown derby, two Francis Clarke plaques, Waterford and other crystal including Waterford crystal lamps, vaseline glass epergne, two Theo Faberge eggs, two Vienna wall clocks, carriage clocks, hand painted miniature on ivory, knife box, edison home phonograph, barometers, tea and dinner sets, french desert set, writing and jewellery boxes.

Silver includes a very good four piece silver coffee set, London 1872, a silver teapot, Chester 1895 another 1900, pair of silver candlesticks, selection of berry, serving and other spoons, fish knife, cutlery, condiments, vinaigrettes, perfume bottles etc.
