To mark the occasion they are holding a special “Crafts, Cake and Community” event on Saturday, September 5, in St Patrick’s Church Hall, Broughshane, from 12 noon to 4pm.

The event will take the form of an exhibition of the work of the ladies in Broughshane WI and will include a wide range of craft items, floral displays, memorabilia, and our award winning 2014 scrapbook.

The exhibition will also have the first public viewing of the “Life and Times of Broughshane” Project.

Funding for the Project was secured through the Big Lottery Fund and enabled the ladies to source tutors and materials to create a collection of craftwork, interpretations of buildings, landmarks and scenes in local community. Admission to the exhibition is free, however, visitors will have the opportunity to purchase a traditional WI Afternoon Tea at just £5 per person. Members will also be on hand to explain some of the intricate craft work, including info. on future craft classes.
