Antrim date for Panama Jazz Band

ONE of Northern Ireland’s longest established and best loved jazz bands will be performing at The Old Courthouse later this month.

The Panama Jazz Band is unique, because, although it specialises in Dixieland and Mainstream Jazz, its versatility means that Buddy Holly, Elvis, The Rat Pack and Jive may well make the occasional appearance in their repertoire.

The personnel have many years of good solid musicianship behind them, with Ray McKendry, Billy Richardson, Jim McDermot, Barry McCrudden and, of course, bandleader, Ivan Black, learning the business in the show band days.
