Representing an investment of £120,000 by Lidl Northern Ireland, this year 40 secondary schools across Northern Ireland - an estimated 15 of them from across County Antrim - will be selected to receive £3,000 worth of vouchers to secure essential sporting equipment for their school. Launched in 2019, the Sport for Good programme is designed to encourage and support young people to make the most of the physical and mental benefits of sport participation.

Antrim based Agoge Boxing Club was one of the lucky local clubs in County Antrim to receive funding in 2019. A tight-knit club, Agoge Boxing boasts over 30 members of all abilities. Agoge Boxing coach Conor Cooke, said: “The generous donation we received from Lidl Northern Ireland last year meant we could vastly upweight our club equipment, providing our members with an even better training facility and helping them achieve their own individual fitness goals. This funding has made a huge difference to our club and I would encourage everyone to nominate their local secondary school and to give pupils the chance to benefit from this generous investment.”
