School goes to top of the class!

St Patrick’s and St Brigid’s Primary School and Nursery Unit in Ballycastle are celebrating after being described as “outstanding” in a Department of Education’s Report.

The report of the inspectors highlighted a number of areas that they reported as being ‘Outstanding’.

These comments included ‘the behaviour of the children is outstanding,’ ‘throughout the school and Nursery Unit the quality of working relationships in support of the children’s learning is outstanding,’ ‘the quality of leadership provided by the principal is outstanding, ‘almost two-thirds of the teaching was very good to outstanding’.

Mr Magee, Principal said “This report ‘endorses’ the support of the parents, staff, Board of Governors, parish and local partnerships.
