Singer-songwriterto launch albumat singing circle

Kate first gained notice with a band called ‘Kitty’s Kitchen’ and has also performed under the name ‘Cait agus Sean.’

A spokesperson for the ‘Derry Traditional Singing Circle’ said: “Kate has two other CDs, ‘Voice of the Celtic Heart’ and ‘Voice of Comfort: Celtic Songs of Love and Life’ both of which where very successful.

“Kate is a popular singer and with her husband Lee Cadieux are regular performers at sessions throughout the country and further afield.

“As well her great voice Kate is an accomplished musician and now uses arrangements of the acoustic guitar, piano, flute, uilleann pipes, and violin.”

The circle will meet in Tinney’s Bar, Patrick Street, on Thursday at 9pm.
