Pick your local history landmark

The scheme, which aims to honour= people, places, events or buildings with an historic importance, is being supported locally by Ballymena Borough Council and the closing date for this year’s nominations is February 1 12015.

Members of the public are now invited to propose potential nominees using an official Ballymena Borough Council Nomination Form which can be obtained online at www.ballymena.gov.uk (located under A-Z Menu, following the link to Historical Plaque Scheme).

Alternatively, one can be obtained from the reception desk at The Braid. Nominations will be forwarded to the BBC Historical Plaque Scheme Selection Panel who will consider all applications and approve nominations if appropriate.
