The Minis are back on the North Coast again!

Celebrating it’s twentieth anniversary, the Causeway Coast Mini Club have added several new features to the event, which pulls in mini enthusiasts from all over Ireland.

This year’s chosen charities are the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children and the Paddy Hopkirk Children’s Charity Trust, a prize draw has been organised and it that is hoped that this will raise considerable funds for charities,

The Mini fun starts with a fun run from Bushmills Distillery Car Park to Portstewart on Saturday night.

Then on Sunday, the green at Dunluce becomes a sea of Minis as drivers congregate from 10.00am.

Onlookers can view the cars, chat to the owners and have a browse around the many stalls and stands.

The show features over seventeen classes of cars both classic and new-style minis.

Prizes have been donated by JKC Mini Coleraine for the best in each category.

The Minis will depart the site in their usual style at 4.00pm and follow a route through the town with the classic minis actually crossing the bridge at Portrush Harbour, before making their way along Main Street.

And there’s a pit stop along the way - sponsor Morelli’s will be giving out free ice cream to the driver and the occupants of the each of the cars in the cavalcade.

Attendance at the event is absolutely free and this year there’s a chance to win a £500 Sealey Tool Chest supplied by Minisport, £100 worth of shopping Tesco Shopping Vouchers donated by Morelli’s Ices and a voucher for Dinner for Two at The Anchor Complex.

Mini Club Chairman, Andy Shaw thanked the sponsors and Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, who organised ‘Dynamic Audio Visual’ to supply a sound system.
