Success for Finvoy Pipe Band

The long journey to Armagh was well worth it for Finvoy Pipe Band as they were hugely successful in the Craigavon and District Championships.

The band travelled to play in the Grade 3B Medley competition at the Craigavon & District Championships.

The event was held on the beautiful grounds of Lurgan Park with its stunning tree lined avenue and large peaceful lake providing a graceful backdrop for the competition.

The Finvoy band under the leadership of Pipe Major Graham Stirling finished third overall but Top honours went to Jason Todds drum corps who won the prize for best drum corps.

New bass drummer Leslie Campbell took the best Bass prize and Junior Drum Major Kara Gilmour came third in the Drum Major competition.

Well done everyone!

The next outing for the band will be on 2 July at the lovely seaside town of Malahide just north of Dublin when they compete in the All Ireland Championships in the grounds of Malahide Castle.

Friends are welcome to travel on the coach with the band.
