Ramada Hotel Portrush over Bank Holiday Weekend (Friday 29th April to Monday 2nd May).

Renowned for his depictions of iconic Ulster landmarks, the Portrush exhibition will place a strong focus on the landscape and landmarks of the North Coast in particular.

Vivid interpretations of Dunluce Castle, Mussenden Temple, Ballintoy, Portbradden, Portrush Harbour, The Arcadia, Portballintrae, Whiterocks Beach and the Causeway sit at the heart of this collection.

They are complemented with a number of the artist’s portrayals of Irish dancers and traditional musicians.

Since Margey’s last showing at the Ramada Hotel, he has moved his Kilrea studio and Gallery to Mark Street Portrush.

The artist’s workshop come gallery space is proving to be a big hit with locals and visitors to the area.

“I am really looking forward to returning to the Ramada Hotel with my latest body of work next weekend,” told Adrian.

“I have used bold colour, strong shapes and expressive texture in an attempt to conjure up moods and evoke an emotional response from the viewer. I have employed palette knife, brush work and finger-painting techniques to bring a new perspective to the familiar and hope that visitors enjoy the mix of work on show,” enthused Margey.

The exhibition runs next Friday 29th 6pm – 9pm and continues Saturday 30th April & Sunday 1st May 11am – 8pm / Monday 2nd May: 11am – 6pm. Admission free – everyone welcome.

Adrian can now boast a growing following both nationally and internationally. This year he moved his Kilrea studio and gallery to Portrush for the summer season. Given the success of the gallery at 99 Mark Street Portrush, Adrian has moved his work there on a more permanent basis. Exciting times are afoot for Adrian as his work continues to evolve and climb the ranks of the competitive Irish Art Market.
