Approximately 135 pieces of mainly Irish art and prints are on offer at McAfee Auctions second online art sale scheduled for Thursday evening the 21st February commencing at 7pm.
The sale offers a wide selection of traditional and more modern art, from a varied selection of artists past and present, and offering the discerning purchasers a choice of paintings and prints within a varied price range.
Among the lots for sale are two Charles McAuley oils ‘Looking Down the Glens’ and ‘Autumn Light, Cushendun’, a nice George Gillespie oil ‘Glendun River’, a Arthur Twells oil ‘Farmstead Near Westport’, a J W Carey watercolour ‘The Ness’, a Bond Walker ‘Autumn’, a M C Wilks ‘Lagan in Winter’, a Tom McGoldrick ‘Donegal Cottage Near Ardara’, two watercolours by Hamilton Sloan, a Fran Fitt oil ‘Helens Bay’, a large oil by R B Higgins ‘Passing Rain Clouds Strangford’ and a pair of small watercolours. Included is also a selection of works by the popular local artist Gregory Moore.
Among the more modern works included in the sale is a large oil by Kevin Sharkey ‘People of the Night’ and oil by D G Hughes titled ‘Fruit and Flowers’ and another large oil by him ‘Stillife with Oil Lamp’, two oils by Des Murrie one entitled ‘Closely Clustered’ and two works by Donal McNaughton are also sure to attract interest.
A selection of works by Lorna Millar, J P Rooney, Gerry Glynn, Mark McMeekin, Colin Flack, Roy Wallace, Carrie O’Duinn, Con Campbell, Carol Ann Waldron, Michelle Carlin and Nigel Allison are also included in the sale.

While all lots are available online for viewing, viewing of the lots also takes place at McAfee Auction rooms on Tuesday the 19th of February 3.00 – 5.00 and 7.00 – 8.30pm or by appointment with the agent.
Anyone interested in bidding online should register online as soon as possible, and the first lot will close on Thursday evening the 21st of February at 7.00pm with every other lot concluding approximately every minute, alternatively anyone not able or wishing to bid on the night may leave bids with the staff at McAfee Auctions, who will be happy to bid on there behalf.
