Treasure Hunt

A treasure hunt organised by Lavin L.O.L. 913 will take place on Thursday 30th June. Cars to leave Lavin Orange Hall from 7.30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to take part.

Night at the Races

One2one Care and Support Services is hosting a night at the races in aid of Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke on 25th June in Drumadoon, Cloughmills at 8pm! Great prizes donated from local businesses including Northern Ireland shirt signed by Captain Steven Davis. Supper provided.

There will be Night at the Races on 24th June at 7.30pm at Ballymoney Football Club for MacMillan Cancer Unit at Antrim Area hospital.

Mosside Parade

Mosside Rising Sons of Ulster Accordion Band is holding an Annual Band Parade. The event will be held in Mosside on Wednesday, June 29. Bands to assemble at Mosside Orange Hall at 7.45pm.

Topp Lottery

The winning numbers in the Topp Lottery were 27, 32 and 38. One winner - Lena Woods - collected £650. The jackpot begins again next week at £50.

RBL BBQ

Ballymoney Royal British Legion branch are holding there annual bbq on the 8th July at 8pm in the Royal British Legion Clubrooms. Tickets are available from branch committee members and from the upstars bar. Music is Thomas McGuire and Fhiona Ennis. Tickets are £10m.

Band Parade

Pride of the Park Flute Band will be having their annual band in Armoy on Friday 24th June, starting at 8.30pm sharp. Bands are asked to assemble at Deane Park in the village. A disco will take place afterwards in the Rook’s Nest. All money raised will go towards band funds.

Bus trip

Killyrammer and District Community Association are running a bus trip to Bangor on Saturday 9th July.

The bus will leave Killyrammer at 9am sharp and will return at approximately 6pm.

Adults cost £7, children cost £3 and under 5’s travel free.

Stranocum BBQ and dance

Stranocum LOL 749 will be holding their annual BBQ and dance on Saturday, June 25 from 7.30pm - 1am. Music will be provided by Shaun McAllister. Tickets £12.50. For a great night of food, entertainment and craic contact Noel Anderson (07707188085) for tickets. Food served 7.30pm.

Alex talk

As part of the Kingdom of Dalriada Ulster-Scots Festival, Alex Blair will be giving a talk (7.30pm) in the Townhall on Monday 27th June examining the origins of the town and the developments of it over the years. Free Admission.

Roseyards Tractor Run

Roseyards Presbyterian Church Dark Hedges Tractor Run will be held on Wednesday, June 29.

Tractors leave Roseyards Church Hall from 7pm.

Fun in the Park

An evening of free activities with archery, climbing wall, face painting, Highland Games and Ulster-Scots entertainment in Riverside Park from 6pm to 9pm on Friday 1st July, a relaxing start to the summer holidays as part of the festival.

To start the Kingdom of Dalriada Ulster-Scots festival the artisan market will be in Ballymoney this month.

Come and enjoy home made gifts and unique products alongside Ulster-Scots musical entertainment during the day. Something for everyone in the town centre.

Charlie McAfee Video Show

Organisers are delighted to be able to show some of Charlie McAfee’s old video collections from around the Ballymoney area as part of the Kingdom of Dalriada Ulster-Scots Festival on Tuesday 28th June in the town hall from 7.30pm.

Come and enjoy watching the events around the town and the people as Charlie was always on hand to record them from the 1970’s onwards in his own unique way.

Party in the Park,

Come and enjoy a free music concert in the Riverside Park, Ballymoney on Thursday 30th June from 6pm to 10.30pm as part of the Kingdom of Dalriada Ulster-Scots Festival. Performers include Country singers such as Hugo Duncan, Justin McGurk, Alastair Coyles, Yasmin Walker, Owen Mac, Irene Bates and many more plus some Ulster-Scots performers and finishing the night of with Deja Vu. Admission is free and catering will be available on site.

Festival Finale in St. Patrick’s Parish Centre

To conclude the festival, we willl with some great Ulster-Scots acts and Music from Dunloy Accordion Band, Glenkeen Fife and Drum and Macosquin Flute Band, alongside Fiddler Adam, Dick Glasgow and Grahame Harris Piping and many more.

Family funday with bungee Trampolines, bouncy Castles, Face painters, Cartoon Characters, Krazy Karts, BBQ, Mr. Slushtails all in attendance and with free admission its sure to be a great way to spent a Saturday afternoon in Ballymoney. Doors open at 12 noon.

There will be a sequence and social dance in Cloughmills Community Centre on June 20th from 8.30pm - 11.30pm. Admission £5. Light supper. Music by Housty. All welcome. The Community Centre is also hosting jiving classes during the month of June. The classes are run by tutor Conor Taylor and run from 8 - 9pm every Wednesday in June. Admission £5. All welcome.
