Get creative with North Coast artists

Causeway Coast Artists are expanding their activities this year and running a week of workshops '“ Creative Coast - from August 8th to the 16th in Portballintrae Village Hall.

A range of artists and craftspeople are offering a variety of workshops.

This is an opportunity to learn a new skill and have a new experience while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Causeway Coast.

Booking in advance of the week is essential.

All of the workshops will take place in Portballintrae Village Hall.

This is a wonderful chance for members of the public to sign up for short workshops to learn a new skill and have a new experience.

The workshops include: Monday August 8 - Painting by the Sea. The tutor will be Harry McMahon; ‘Fused Glass’ by tutor Natasha Duddy will also be on offer on Monday. Those attending will be given the chance to make their own wind chime, sun catcher and jewellery.

On Tuesday August 9, Louise McClean will offer a basket making worksksop, also on that day Janet Miller will showcase the art of calligraphy.

Barry Williamson will lead Wednesday’s workshop when he will explore colour temperature and brush strokes. Lorna Noble will be on hand on Wednesday to introduce ceramics whilst on Thursday glass painting is on offer with Louise McLean. On Friday felt wrapping and japanese indigo workshops will round off the sessions.
