Game of Thrones: President Obama to get advanced copies of new epsiodes

The President of the United States, Barack Obama, is set to see the next series of 'Game of Thrones' - before you.

The “Game of Thrones” creators - who have used many locations in Northern Ireland for filming - have shrouded this upcoming season in secrecy.

But they have confirmed they are making an exception for one VIP viewer - President Barack Obama.

In a Facebook interview at the HBO drama’s Hollywood premiere Sunday night, creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff were asked about a moment in which they’d realized they’d made it ahead of Season 6.

“For both of us finding out that the President wanted advanced copies of the episodes, that was an ah-ha moment,” Weiss said. “That was a very strange moment.”

And when asked if they agreed, he replied “Yes. He’s the leader of the free world.”

“When the commander in chief says, ‘I’d like to see advanced episodes, what are you going to do?’” Benioff added.
