Central to this fundraising is the Friends of Loreto group, established in September 2014 with the aim of raising for the development of Loreto College. The primary project is the renovation of the beautiful convent building on the College site. This fabulous space will soon be integrated into the school, providing library space, a sixth form centre, learning support and counselling areas. With the renovations proceeding rapidly, last Saturday Loreto College invited friends, past pupils and school families to a Coffee Morning in which visitors had the opportunity to see the progress made refurbishment project.

The next Loreto College fundraising project is an exciting Superdraw, launched on Thursday 27th October. A monthly draw will be held from October 2016 until June 2017 inclusive. Each month, there will be a first prize of £200, second prize £100 and third prize £50. At Christmas there will be an extra special ‘Super Duper Draw’! A single payment of £45 allows entry into all the monthly draws. Those wishing to get involved should contact the College directly, no later than Friday 21st October. As the College and the Friends of Loreto reach out to school families, past and present, far and wide, to support Loreto in its continued and expanding work to help its pupils be the best that they can be, Mr Michael James, College Principal and Chairman of the Friends of Loreto, paid tribute to everyone who has supported the College thus far in its fundraising projects. With a variety of school projects planned for the years ahead, there can be no doubt that those who support Loreto College through the Superdraw and other fundraising initiatives are helping to secure an exciting and inspirational future for this historic Coleraine school.
