Celebrating 60 years of making people laugh!

It's been entertaining and making audiences laugh on the north coast each summer.

And now Portrush Summer Theatre is celebrating a special milestone this year - its 60th anniversary.

To celebrate the anniversary Portrush Summer Theatre is presenting seven shows, beginning with Stop It Nurse by Sam Cree on July 13-16 and concluding with another Cree classic, Don’t Tell The Wife on August 24-27. All of the plays are staged at Portrush Town Hall each week from a Wednesday to a Saturday.

The Belfast Rosemary Drama Group’s production of“ Stop It Nurse” follows Sammy, a diehard Linfield fan, and Felix, a dyed-in-the-wool Glentoran supporter, who end up side by side in the same hospital ward.

Things go from bad to worse when they are visited by the hyper-active Miss Cherry, another patient’s bit on the side and Mad McGurk, a wrestler with anger management issues!

The full programme for this summer is as follows:

13-16 July: STOP IT NURSE by Sam Cree - Rosemary Drama Group (Belfast).

20-23 July: ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID by Jones, Hope and Wooten - Ballymoney Literary & Debating Society.
