Imagine young ones discovering they like actually like ‘the moss’ and imagine them now knowing they can do something they have never done before.

The young people of Armoy Summer Scheme were really imaginative for the end of the Summer Scheme and they invited members of the public to go along to the Riverside Park in Armoy to see that they have achieved.

The turf project was one activity run by Armoy Community Association called “Rekindling Friendships” and is sponsored by Housing Executive from their Cohesion Unit under the Building Relationships in the Community (BRIC 2). And there are those around Armoy with years of experience of ‘moss work’.

As well as ‘turfin’, there was also a taste of ‘surfin’ for the young people.

Yes the ‘surfin’ at Portrush was also a great experience!

From ‘turfin’ to surfin’ has been part but only part of the Armoy Summer Scheme 2016.

Thanks to all the leaders, tutors, helpers, bus drivers for their tremendous input.
