As expected, the event attracted a plethora of talent, which made for an excellent race at the front. Paddy Hamilton (Slieve Gullion Runners) broke the tape, clocking 31:13. Declan Reed followed in 31:20, while Scott Rankin sealed the final podium spot in 31:31.

The ladies race wasn’t such a close affair, but that takes nothing away from several excellent performances. Catherine Whoriskey (City of Derry AC) once again stamped her authority on the North West scene as she secured victory in an excellent 36:37.  In-form Gemma Turley (Springwell Running Club) crossed the line in 39:14 for second place.
