On Saturday Ballymoney made a long journey down to Portadown.

The first goal came from Susie from a shot at the top of the circle after just seven minutes. Portadown responded but Sammy-Jo had a great save. Ballymoney quickly responded with a ball from Emma to Nikki reaching the back of the net. Jess Moore was on hand at the end of the first half but was unlucky not to convert.

Money kept the pressure on until the end of the half but could not score. Within the first few seconds of the second half money were awarded a penalty corner, in which Susie Martin struck the ball and slotted home her second goal. Susie was on fire and got her hatrick when Ballymoney were awarded a penalty stroke in the 8th minute.

A few minutes later Ballymoney were awarded a second penalty corner with Gayle striking the ball and it reached the back of the net. 15 minutes later yet another corner was awarded but the Portadown goalie made a magnificent save and Julie was unlucky not to score. Just as the second half was coming to an end Emma dribbled the ball into the circle and found the back of the net from a shot at the top of the circle making the final score 6-0 to Ballymoney.

Their next match is away to Victorians at Deramore starting at 8.15.
