Ramage bags win with 44 points

JAMES Ramage, playing off twenty, ran up a score of 44 points round Bushfoot on Saturday to win the DunluceGolf.com Open Stableford competition.

James scored at every hole and even with a few double bogeys on his front nine 21 points were logged for it.

The back nine was the more productive as it contained just two doubles and quite a few more pars. 23 points were scored and gave James his top spot by just a single point from Paul Caldwell on 43.

Paul failed to score at the par four third and this limited his front nine score to a relatively modest 19 points. As with the winner James scored much better second time round.

His birdie two at twelve was the highlight and with no blanks this time a remarkable 23 points were added to the card to keep James two up on third placed James Morrison with 41.

In the Ladies Section Elaine McConnell, playing off thirteen covered the front nine in three over par to have amassed 24 points at half time. She scored a good birdie three at ten to get the back nine off to a great start and finished on 40 for her win.
