THIS is a special year for St Patrick’s Parish Indoor Bowling Club in Ballymoney as they are celebrating their 50th season and some special events are being arranged to celebrate it.

The club’s official opening for the new season will be held on Tuesday September 24 at 7pm when a Rink will be invited from each of the Member Clubs of the Charity League to join them for their birthday party and on Sunday September 29 a special Thanksgiving Evening Service will be held at 6pm with the Ballymoney Male Voice Choir leading the Praise.

The club invites former members of the club; the members of their three Parishes and their friends; and members of the Towns’ Indoor Bowling Clubs to join with them on that evening.

The collection will be for charity and afterwards a supper will be held in the Parish Hall where the present members of the club will act as hosts.

In the spring, a special evening of bowling will be held for the members of the Towns’ Bowling Clubs in the Parish Hall on a date to be arranged later.
