Juvenile Convenor Ronnie Laverty welcomed Captain Paul Pentland, Vice Captain Kenny Gault, Honourary Secretary Terence McFaull, Juvenile Captain William McFaull, Juvenile members, family and friends to this year’s Juvenile Presentation Night held recently at Bushfoot Golf Club.
The season started in June with a team representing Bushfoot in the Fred Daly Plate competition where they played Whitehead, losing the match 8 to 6. There were 8 competitions throughout the summer months for members as well as a Juvenile competition during Open Week.
Coaching is available for the Juveniles with Professional David Jones, Bushfoot’s Manager and Ronnie thanked David for organising all the summer competitions. He also thanked Anne McIlroy for her invaluable input for results.
The Moyle Cup was as usual played in July and August at local clubs Cushendall, Ballycastle, Gracehill and Bushfoot - all putting out a team of 10. Bushfoot’s team this year was a very young one – some playing for the first time in such a competition and they were pleased to come third overall, only a few points behind Cushendall.
Owen Crooks represented Bushfoot in Senior competitions and the Irish Under 18’s and Owen won the Under 15 Ulster Boys title this year.
The Presentation of Prizes by The Captain then followed:
Louise McAllister Cup to Shane McKenna
