On Tuesday 6th October Ballymoney Model C.I.P.S. hosted the third annual football tournament for local Integrated Primary Schools.

A total of five schools took part; Round Tower C.I.P.S. and Six Mile I.P.S from Antrim, Maine I.P.S., Randalstown, Millstrand I.P.S., Portrush and Ballymoney C.I.P.S.

The tournament was played in a round-robin format and saw some very hotly contested matches with a great deal of skill on display from all the teams.

As the round robin was played out with every game proving to be highly entertaining and competitive the finalists were decided.

It was Maine I.P.S from Randalstown and Millstrand I.P.S. from Portrush who would do battle for the honours and the two sides didn’t disappoint as they played out a very exciting final resulting in a 1-0 win for Millstrand I.P.S.

Mrs Hall presented the trophies and runners up medals to the players who had produced a superb day’s football.

A high standard of behaviour and sportsmanship was evident from all of the teams and an enjoyable day was had by all who came along to support the teams.

A big thanks to John Fall who supplied the referees for the tournament.
