Medallion book their Plate semi final place

Dalriada Medallion travelled to Larne Grammar school on Saturday 6th February to play the Medallion Bowl quarter final.

Dalriada kicked off and set about with attacking ambitions to go wide at every opportunity to unleash their dangerous back line even though it was a very wet and heavy pitch. They broke the deadlock and through a well worked lineout they found Matthew carton out wide to run 60 metres to score a great individual try.

Dalriada exited out of their own half well with halfbacks James Allen and Patrick Carson ensuring the game was played in the opposition half. After several phases and great forward drives through the Adam Wright, Jack Murdoch and David Dysart the referee awarded a penalty try after numerous offences from the opposition.

Larne eventually entered the Dalriada 22m and determined to score they continuously put the Dalriada defence under pressure before scoring a late consolation try to make it 19-5. The Medallion team now face Regent house in the semi-final at Dalriada on Thursday.
