Jason Wilmont’s men follow this up with a home game against Newington before the men from the Toon face Queen’s University.

Speaking about the first month’s fixtures Wilmont commented: “It’s a very tough start for us. However, all games this season are going to be tough for us and we will have to go into every game like it was a cup final.”

Club Treasurer John McAuley added: “Its a bit of an unknown quantity for the first few games. Banbridge have signed a few new players so we’re unsure about what to expect from them. Newington have a new manager and some new players so again it’s a case of not really knowing what to expect and with regards Queen’s you can never tell because of the changes with the students. The fourth game on 5th September is at home to Limavady and that is never an easy game.”
