GLEBE RESERVES 1
Ballybogey extended lead at the top of the Coleraine Morning League with a hard fought victory over a young Glebe Reserves side.
With the second and third placed teams drawing with each other ‘Bogey increased the gap at the top.
‘Bogey came away 4-1 winners but the Glebe team were unlucky not to go into the break.
The first half goals came from Gareth Henry for Ballybogey and Paul Little for Glebe.
In the second half it was Gareth Henry who put ‘Bogey ahead with a fine individual goal.
‘Bogey soon went two up when Liam Kearney ran through after a slip in the Glebe defence to put the ball past the advancing keeper.
‘Bogey sealed the game when James McLaughlin put the ball into the goal with a shot from twenty yards keeping ‘Bogey’s 100% league record intact.
This week ‘Bogey entertain top local side Dunaghy in the quarter final of the Steele and Sons Shield at 11am.
BALLYNURE OLD BOYS 3
This was another big win for Ballynure against Dunloy a side they have always found difficult to beat.
Ballynure got off to a great start with Ricky Higgins scoring on the 10th minute and then with Dunloy having to chase the game Ballynure caught then again with Josh McIlroy doubling the lead on the 25th minute.
Half-time saw Ballynure still in front by two then on the 65th minute Ricky Higgins scored his second goal in the game killing off any hope Dunloy had of saving the game.
This week Dunloy take on Ballysillan Swifts away.
