Dominant Ards hit nine against Ballymoney in Shield at Clandeboye

Ards hit Ballymoney United for nine goals in a comprehensive County Antrim Shield victory at Clandeboye Park.

Neil Dougan and David McAllister both grabbed braces, with Josh Cahoon, Steven Hislop, Eamon McAllister, Gary Warwick and Stuart Muldrew getting the others, as Ards ran out 9-0 winners.

United became the second Ballymoney team to take a hammering at Clandeboye Park in two days.

On Tuesday Glebe Rangers lost 6-0 to Bangor in the same competition.

Ards took the lead in the third minute through David McAllister.

Josh Cahoon hit the second,McAllister then scored. Warwick hit the fifth.

Then Muldrew, Eamon McAllister and Dougan scored twice.
