The Coleraine Action Group page was created last week by several concerned fans.

“We created the group as we are concerned at the lack of support at games, and also the lack of support for the whole club in general within the wider Coleraine area,” said one of the admins for the page.

“Our home support has dwindled at an alarming rate over the last few seasons, a prime example being last weeks 2-0 win over Carrick Rangers when it was reported there was less than 500 paying supporters in attendance.

“The average gate for most other Irish League clubs has went up in recent years.

“This is very concerning at a time when Coleraine are having one of their best starts to a season in many years, and also because we are fielding a young exciting team with many players from the local area.

“We view Coleraine as a football town so we’d like to hear from fans on why they think the crowds have dwindled; What they think needs to be done to turn the tide; What they think can be done to encourage new fans to come.” Check out facebook.com/Coleraine-ActionGroup
