Dunloy Cycling Club continues to go from strength to strength and are organising a number of Open races on Sunday 31st May.

The club will be promoting three races on the day for separate categories with 80 cyclists in each race. The first two races are already sold out.

The circuit starts in Dunloy heads to Ballymoney, onto Burnquarter Road, left onto the Finvoy road. It continues until it reaches the Slievnaghy Road. It then enters the Mullan road, Duneaney Road and turns left at Millars Corner onto the Killagan Road. At the Killagan crossroads it turns left onto the Bellaghy road back to the village. The big race will complete three circuits of the 18 mile course. The races start at 1pm.

A club spokesman said: “This will be a big day for the club with over 200 cyclists taking part in the various races. We hope to have a tough days racing for the cyclists and some good viewing for the spectators. The racing will last just over two hours but should cause minimal disruption along the course. We are delighted to have Pappy’s Bakey in Dunloy and also CDE Global sponsor the races. With good prize money on offer I have no doubt the racing will be very competitive.”
