POTTERS Elite will play Drones in the final of the Sam Walker Snooker Knockout League Cup this Thursday night.
The first match in the competition saw the Drones team easily defeating the All Stars by taking all four frames to reach the semi-finals.
It was Gregory Cooke who set the standard, accounting for Danny Tweed, taking both frames. Paul Simpson then defeated Aidy McGonigle 2-0.
The other winners were Dunloy Galaxy, Potters Elite and Potters Aces.
In the first of the semi-finals Drones defeated Dunloy Galaxy 4-2.
Paul Simpson set the ball rolling with a fine forty break against Michael Murphy who responded well to level by clearing the colours from the green ball.
The in-form David Baker had breaks of 36 and 35 to overcome Paul McQuillan.
The fifth frame saw B Darragh pull a frame back to give Dunloy a chance.
However experienced veteran Dale Harley won the sixth frame and with it the man of the match vote to send Drones into the final.
In the second semi-final Potters Aces fell to Potters Elite in another close and very tense match.
Lee Hull and Damien Reid shared a frame apiece as did Curtis Boreland and Willie Boreland.
The man of the match tag went to Geoffrey Boreland who won in straight frames against Mark Hutchison to book the Elite team’s place in the final.
The final will be held in the Potters Snooker Club in Coleraine this Thursday night.
Players are asked to be at the venue for 7.30pm sharp.
