Dalriada team bidding for Irish glory

A LARGE contingent of fans is set to travel to Jordanstown this Saturday April 27 in the hope of roaring on Dalriada volleyball teams to All-Ireland glory.

The Dalriada girls are chasing their fourth all-Ireland Volleyball Title. After weeks of waiting and training the Dalriada Under 16 and Under 18 Girls volleyball teams will compete for their respective All-Ireland titles at the University of Ulster at Jordanstown, Belfast.

Head Coach at the school, Dr Ian Walker, said: “This is a big day for us with both teams facing really difficult opposition from St. Mary’s School in Dublin. They have not lost a single match their entire season although having the matches north of the border must surely be an advantage. We have prepared thoroughly and we are expecting a big crowd of supporters so we could do it on the day.”

Both girls teams will play the current All-Ireland title holders, St. Mary’s in both matches with the Under 16 match starting at 10:30am and the Under 18s starting at noon.

Buses leave Dalriada at 9am and will return at approximately 3pm.
