Braid Draghounds hunt the Kilraughts countryside

On Saturday 22nd January, the Braid Draghounds met at the home of Sean and Tracey Bartlett in Killyrammer.

It was a beautiful crisp sunny morning and a large crowd gathered for the traditional stirrup cup.

The scent was laid by the two ‘foxes’ and Huntsman Alex Cooke led the way as they set off to hunt the lands of Kilraughts.

The hunt included many natural obstacles en route and everyone and their mounts returned safely.

The village school in Killyrammer was used to serve well earned refreshments. Many thanks to the Bartlett family and all the farmers and landowners for their help and hospitality.
