BikeSafe Campaign at the North West 200

The BikeSafe initiative will play a key role supporting the 2015 Vauxhall International North West 200. BikeSafe officers will encourage teams, riders and the media to highlight road safety in the build up to, during and directly following Race Week.

BikeSafe has been on the scene in Northern Ireland now for a number of years. Most people have probably seen the adverts and the BikeSafe logo prominent in the local media and at major motorsport events such as the NW 200.

BikeSafe in N Ireland is continuing and enhancing its presence at the NW200.

Teaming up with our partners the IAM, Ducati, BMW, Honda and Yamaha the team will be available during race week in the BikeSafe enclosure’. Situated on the coast side of the paddock at the start line, the facility contains everything a biker needs. All the latest models from the manufacturers will be on display, with visits from riders during the week.

The BikeSafe Team will also be on hand to organise an assessment or give advice and guidance.

One thing to aspire to is to become a better rider by better understanding our bikes, thus improving confidence in both wet and dry conditions, giving you more enjoyment and making you a safer rider.

Panigale-BH-webBikeSafe assessments are FREE and are conducted solely by PSNI Advanced Road Policing motorcyclists. By passing on their knowledge, skills and experience, police motorcyclists can advise you on how to become a safer, more competent rider and help you avoid some of the most common causes of accident and death.

They can also help you to increase your ability and confidence, so you can get even more enjoyment from riding your motorcycle.
