BALLYMONEY Seconds were too strong for Victorians with a narrow 1-0 win.

Both teams came out strongly in the first half with each taking their chances but the keepers kept it a nil all game.

In the second half Ballymoney came out fighting with Becky Gamble playing out of her skin.

Game time was halted after a Victorians player was injured.

Some surprising umpiring resulted in two separate Ballymoney players being green carded.

Once Sarah Gardner returned to the pitch she wasn’t going to be stopped.

Ballymoney were awarded a short corner which Sarah Gardner took the opportunity to put in the back of the net to put Ballymoney up 1-0 with only a couple of minutes to the end of the game.

Ballymoney knew the game wasn’t over with Victorians getting an opportunity to have a shot on goal but to Ballymoney’s relief it went wide.

Ballymoney’s best wishes go out to the Victorians player and hope she has a speedy recovery.
