BALLYCASTLE Golf Club held a very successful charity day for N.I. Hospice Care on Sunday 28 June with over £2000 raised for this worthwhile cause.
The winning quartet of Neil McMaster, James McKay, Ciaran McGinn and Susan McMaster finished with a total of 125 points, one clear of Liam McLaughlin, Andrew McConaghy, Owen Kennedy and Peter McMullan.
The ladies longest drive prize went to Marga
ret McWhirter, the gents longest drive to Neil McMaster and the nearest the pin prize to Michael Dallat junior.
The presentation evening for this event and also the Chest, Heart and Stroke and R.N.L.I. charity days will be held next Saturday 4 July at 9pm.
Michael Dallat junior won the prize for the best gent at Mrs. Mary Teresa McKiernan’s Captains Day on Saturday 27 June. Michael, playing off five, had a super score of 43 points, one ahead of Colum Egan who won the gross prize with a level par 71.

On Friday 3 July the Annual Shotgun Foursomes tee off from 6pm with the Mid Season Presentation Evening held in the clubhouse at the conclusion of Friday’s competition.
On Saturday 4 July, a special Independence Day Texas scramble is held with a barbecue and ‘hoe-down’ planned for the evening.
