Teacher Brídín is shortlisted for top award

Brídín Ní Dhonnghaile from Ballycastle has been short-listed for the final of the Action Renewables/Norfolkline Irish Sea Green Teacher of the Year Award.
The Bunscoil an Chaistil teacher has been nominated for her significant work with the pupils within the school to ensure they take care of the environment within the school and the community.

Brídín encourages recycling, energy conservation, energy efficient transport and the use environmentally friendly products within the school.

One pupil commented: "She gives us great advice on doing what is right for the environment.
"We really hope she wins the award which would be a great honour for the school."
