Naíscoil an Chaistil came at the top of the list of the 44 Gaelic-Medium Preschools from throughout the north in winning this years O'Callaghan Mac Kiernan award from Ionatobhas na Gaelscolaíochta, the trust fund that supports the growth and development of the Gaelic-Medium Education Sector.
The leader of Naíscoil Órlaith Mhic Ghíolla Amhnáin said: "We are delighted with this award of £2000 which will go towards improving and enriching our outdoor play facilities. Physical development is a key part of a child's education and our entry in the O'Callaghan McKiernan award focused on creating an enriched and stimulating environment for the children in our early years centre."

Pilib Ó Ruanaí, The Chief Executive of the Iontaobhas, who granted the award continued: "The standards of entries this year were very high, however we were impressed by both the passion and practical side of Naíscoil an Chaistil's application and know it will be used to maximum benefit of the emerging Ballycastle and north Antrim Gaelic speaking community."

Naíscoil an Chaistil can be contacted on 02820768883.
